Keegan still feeling the pressure despite Anelka stress relief

LONDON (AFP) — Under-fire Kevin Keegan was a relieved man after watching his Manchester City side beat Crystal Palace, but admitted the 2-1 victory at Selhurst Park could merely be a stay of execution.
Keegan had come in for criticism following a run of only one win in five Premiership matches, but Nicolas Anelka's second half brace will silence the doubters - for now at least.
"It's a stay of execution and I'm safe for a week," said Keegan, who enjoyed a particularly satisfying Saturday with a horse he part owns earning 70,000 pounds by winning the Ayr Gold Cup.
"People will argue that sides with our quality should come and beat Palace, but they are being blase about how tough it is in the Premiership," he said.
