Willis back to help NBA Hawks at age 42

ATLANTA, United States (AFP) — After 20 seasons in the National Basketball Association, center Kevin Willis is going back to where it all began by signing a contract with the Atlanta Hawks.
Willis, 42, was selected 11th overall by the Hawks in the 1984 NBA Draft and played in 724 games over 11 seasons with the franchise, averaging 14.5 points and 10.0 rebounds.
"To be back with the franchise I started my career with is a wonderful thing and I hope to do whatever I can to try and bring more excitement and positive energy to the team," Willis said.
Willis has played 1,390 career games, trailing only Karl Malone among active players. The 7-footer spent the last two seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, collecting a championship ring in 2002.
