Coldplay frontman gets warning for attacking photographer

LONDON (AFP) — Coldplay singer Chris Martin has been cautioned by police for attacking a photographer who tried to take a picture of him and his movie star wife Gwyneth Paltrow, police said.

The incident took place as the celebrity couple left San Lorenzo, a swanky restaurant in Knightsbridge, in the heart of the British capital, last April when Paltrow was pregnant with their daughter Apple.

The freelance photographer suffered minor cuts and scratches.

"A 27-year-old man has been cautioned for common assault," a Metropolitan Police spokesman said Thursday referring to Martin, whose four-piece rock band is known for such hits as "In My Place".
