European stock markets forge ahead in early deals

LONDON (AFP) — European stock markets jumped out the blocks in early trading, with London trading at fresh two-year high points after Wall Street finished on a strong note last week.
The London FTSE 100 index gained 0.69 percent to 4,691.90 points, the Frankfurt DAX rose 1.30 percent to 4,047.03 points and the Paris CAC 40 climbed 0.91 percent to 3,763.94.
The DJ Euro Stoxx 50 index of leading eurozone shares advanced 1.05 percent to 2,825.48 points.
The euro stood at 1.2373 dollars.
The FTSE 100 closed at a two-year high point on Friday of 4,659.6 points, lifted by financial stocks.
