Playoff bogey enough to bring Sorenstam LPGA crown

WEST PALM BEACH, United States (AFP) — Annika Sorenstam captured her eighth title of the year here Sunday, beating Cristie Kerr in a playoff for the season-ending LPGA ADT Championship with a bogey on the first playoff hole.
The Swedish superstar captured this event, featuring the year's top money winners, for the third time in her career.
Sorenstam, who had already clinched her seventh LPGA Player of the Year award, won her 56th career title and the 215,000-dollar top prize.
Sorenstam, 34, began the day with a one-stroke lead and fired a three-under par 69 to finish on 13-under par 275, but American Kerr caught her with a bogey-free 68.
