Cisse feared losing leg

LONDON (AFP) — Liverpool's 14 million pound France striker Djibril Cisse has revealed he was minutes away from losing his leg after his horrific accident in October.

Cisse, who broke both bones in his lower leg in the game against Blackburn, says it was only the treatment he received from Liverpool doctor Mark Waller and the medics at Blackburn's Ewood Park that saved his leg.

"When I was taken from the field what they did next was so important for my career. What they did in those first few moments was vital," the 23-year-old told The Sun.

"My bones were overlapping and I had no circulation in my foot. They had to give me drugs to help with the pain and then they had to pull my bones back into place with their hands.
