NEW YORK (AFP) — Julia Roberts has celebrated the arrival of her two twins by buying 32 acres (13 hectares) of prime New Mexico property from US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, according to a magazine article.
Roberts has been buying land from neighbours since first becoming a part-time resident of Taos, New Mexico in 1995. The new land joins 80 acres (32 hectares) she already owns, People magazine said on its website.
Roberts and husband Danny Moder, spent Christmas and the New Year in Taos with their new twins, Hazel Patricia and Phinnaeus Walter.
People reported that land in the area sells for between 110,000 and 125,000 dollars an acre, according to a Taos real estate agent, Peter Lora, quoted by People.
