SANTA MARIA, United States (AFP) — Michael Jackson waved his signature V-sign out of a window, sending adoring fans into a frenzy outside the California hospital where the embattled pop star is being treated.
Jackson, who had an intravenous tube hanging from one arm, flashed the V-sign twice, and briefly showed his face from a window of the hospital where he is being treated for flu-like symptoms and vomiting.
"It was beautiful," yelled hardcore fan Susie Mumpfield, jumping with joy outside the Merian Medical Center in Santa Maria, where Jackson was taken on Tuesday, causing his child sex trial to be postponed for a week.
"He was letting us know he is alright. He is a warrior and God will get him through this," said Mumpfield, 23.
