Jackson heads back to court after hospital star delays child sex trial

SANTA MARIA, California (AFP) — Pop superstar Michael Jackson heads back to court Tuesday after his hospitalization for flu symptoms delayed his slow-moving but highly-publicized child sex trial for a week.

Rival lawyers will resume grilling potential jurors as part of the critical process of picking the 12 men and women who will decide whether the fading pop legend should spend up to 20 years behind bars.

At the same time, Jackson's legal team is moving to portray the family of his now-15-year-old accuser as "professional plaintiffs" who made a living from making "outrageous" sex assault charges in fraudulent lawsuits.
