BUENOS AIRES (AFP) — Argentine authorities were to decide whether to send former Nazi Paul Schaefer, a sect leader who has been on the run for eight years, back to Chile, where he is wanted on child sex abuse and torture charges.
Schaefer, 83, was detained Thursday in a joint operation by Argentine and Chilean police in the small town of Tortuguitas west of Buenos Aires.

He is also the subject of international arrest warrants issued by France and Germany, according to an Interpol official in Argentina.
