Malik, Inzamam boost Pakistan in final India one-dayer

NEW DELHI (AFP) — Shoaib Malik and Inzamam-ul-Haq hit impressive half-centuries as Pakistan posted a challenging 303-8 in the sixth and final one-dayer against India.

Malik scored 72 for his third half-century in four matches and Inzamam 68 to capitalise on Shahid Afridi's early flourish in the high-profile match, watched for more than an hour by Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Afridi, who smashed the second-fastest century off 45 balls in the last game at Kanpur on Friday, continued in the same vein as he scored a blazing 23-ball 44 with one six and six fours.
