Miss France 2004 could lose title over Playboy pics

PARIS (AFP) — Miss France 2004, Laetitia Bleger, could be stripped of her title after posing for Playboy, as the committee which runs the beauty pageant forbids "licentious" behavior for six years after taking the crown.

The president of the Miss France committee, Genevieve de Fontenay, told AFP on Monday that she was "dismayed and appalled" by the half-naked photos of Bleger in the adult magazine.

"We're going to call an emergency meeting of the committee's management board," she said.

According to Fontenay, a Miss France can be stripped of her title during the year of her reign and for five years afterwards for improper behavior, including "licentious photos, even if only partially revealing".
