Liverpool revive European glory days as they give Mourinho the blues

LIVERPOOL, England (AFP) — Liverpool qualified for the Champions League final for the first time in 20 years following a 1-0 win against English champions Chelsea at Anfield in their semi-final second leg match.

The first leg ended 0-0.

Liverpool scored the game's decisive goal in controversial fashion when Luis Garcia toe-poked home from close range in the fourth minute.

However, replays were inconclusive as to whether the whole of the ball had crossed the whole of the line - the requirement for a goal to be given - before it was hacked clear.

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez praised his team for a professional job.
