Actor Macaulay Culkin denies being molested by Jackson

SANTA MARIA, United States (AFP) — Former child actor Macaulay Culkin vigorously denied ever being fondled by Michael Jackson as he testified at the singer's child sex trial.

Culkin, 24, was called by the defence to rebut the prior testimony of a former chef at Jackson's Neverland ranch who told jurors he saw the pop idol fondle Culkin with a hand inside the boy's shorts in 1991.

Asked by Jackson's lead attorney Thomas Mesereau if he had ever been molested by the singer, Culkin replied: "Never."

Denying that Jackson had touched him in any sexual manner, Culkin dismissed the allegations of the former chef as "absolutely ridiculous."

Culkin was the first big name from the defence's celebrity-studded witness list to testify in the trial.
