Woods' exit overshadows leaders O'Hair and Wetterich

IRVING, United States (AFP) — Tiger Woods' unexpected exit at the halfway stage easily overshadowed unheralded halfway leaders Sean O'Hair and Brett Wetterich at the 5.8 million-dollar Byron Nelson Championship.
Woods had gone the distance in a remarkable 142 PGA Tour events in a row, including 31 that didn't include a cut.
So when the global superstar missed the halfway cut by one shot, with an indifferent two-over 72 in the second round, attention shifted from the little known names at the top of the leaderboard to the lower end of the scores.
After an opening 69 on Thursday, Woods looked headed for another weekend on the job. But he found just four fairways on Friday at the Cottonwood Golf Club course, one of two par-70 layouts in use for the tournament...
