Liverpool's Finnan arrested over pedestrian's death

LONDON (AFP) — Liverpool defender Steve Finnan has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a car crash in which an 81-year-old pedestrian died.
The 29-year-old Republic of Ireland international, who played in Liverpool's astonishing Champions League triumph last month, was first arrested in April over the incident which happened in January.
An 81-year-old Liverpool man died from head injuries five weeks after he was involved in an accident with Finnan's Range Rover car on January 27, a spokeswoman for Merseyside Police said Tuesday.
"A 29-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on April 11 on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving," she added.
