Screen siren Angelina Jolie adds to flock by adopting Ethiopian orphan

ADDIS ABABA (AFP) — Hollywood seductress Angelina Jolie has adopted an Ethiopian orphan, adding an infant girl to a young family that already includes a three-year-old Cambodian boy, officials here said.

Dr. Bulti Gutema, the chief of the children and family affairs department at Ethiopia's social affairs ministry and Hadosh Halefom, an official with the orphanage concerned, said Jolie had been approved to adopt the child.

Both said Jolie had completed the necessary paperwork last week when she and heartthrob Brad Pitt, with whom she has been romantically linked and who travelled to Ethiopia in April to visit HIV/AIDS projects, were in Addis Ababa.

"We in the ministry had no idea who Angelina Jolie was when we granted the adoption permit," Bulti told AFP....
