Sexy nurse joins seductive plumber in Polish tourism ad campaign

WARSAW (AFP) — Joining the seductive "plumber," an alluring "nurse" debuted in Poland's tongue-in-cheek tourism campaign launched last month in a humorous response to French fears of eastern European competition.

The advertising campaign began with an image of an attractive blonde man clutching pipes and a monkey-wrench beneath the slogan, "I am staying in Poland -- come on over."

During the campaign leading to the French "no" in a May referendum on the EU constitution, the "Polish plumber" became a symbol of the cheap labour from new member states which supposedly posed a threat to French jobs.
