Music legend Quincy Jones to compose movie score

LOS ANGELES (AFP) — Oscar-winning US music legend Quincy Jones will compose his first film score in more than 20 years for a new rapper movie entitled "Get Rich or Die Tryin," the industry press said.
Famed producer and composer Jones, who won his Academy Award for the best original score for 1985's "The Color Purple" has signed on to compose the music for Paramount Picture movie starring rapper "50 Cent," whose real name is Curtis Jackson.
The movie, to be directed by Irish director Jim Sheridan, the maker of 2002's Oscar-nominated immigration movie "In America," tells the story of a street orphan who descends into the drug trade before making it as a rapper.
