Unflappable Goosen blitzes Volkswagen Masters-China

BEIJING (AFP) — Retief Goosen underlined his status as a 'Big Five' golfer with a scintillating six-shot victory over US Open champion Michael Campbell in the Volkswagen Masters-China tournament.

Turning at seven-under, the double Major-winner finished with a magnificent eight-under-par 64, matching the course record he set in the first round of the 300,000-dollar Asian Tour event at Jinghua Golf Club.

The wire-to-wire victory was the world number five's 23rd international win and second of the year after the US PGA International just four weeks ago. His first title in five visits to Asia earned him 48,450 dollars in prize money.

Campbell, who trailed the South African by just one shot going into the final day, could only muster a 69 in hot and sunny...
