Nolan's bicycle kick pedals Bolton up the Premiership

BOLTON, England (AFP) — A spectacular overhead kick by Kevin Nolan earned Bolton Wanderers a 1-0 win over Portsmouth at the Reebok Stadium, moving them up to third in the English Premiership.
The 23-year-old midfielder struck in the 25th minute to sink Portsmouth, who drop to fourth from bottom in the Premiership table.
The defeat will pile the pressure on Portsmouth boss Alain Perrin, under fire after Pompey lost to League One strugglers Gillingham in the League Cup on Tuesday.
Bolton boss Sam Allardyce handed a first Premiership start to Japan midfielder Hidetoshi Nakata, on loan from Italian side Fiorentina, while skilful Nigeria midfielder Jay-Jay Okocha returned from injury the captain the hosts.
