Garrison returns as 2006 US Fed Cup captain

NEW YORK (AFP) — Zina Garrison will return as Fed Cup captain for the United States in 2006, guiding the US women's tennis squad into a World Group quarter-final next April, the US Tennis Association announced.
The US women will play April 22-23 in Germany at a city to be determined later.
"It's a great honor for me to continue as captain of the US Fed Cup team," Garrison said.
Garrison, the first black US Fed Cup captain, made her debut in 2003, replacing Billie Jean King. She went 22-5 in 23 ties over eight years as a US Fed Cup player.
