LONDON (AFP) — The popular wedding line goes "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue...."
But one British bride did not expect the blue to be the flashing lights on a police car.
The bride and groom were on their way to their reception after the wedding ceremony when their old silver Rolls Royce car broke down, according to the Eastern Daily Press regional newspaper.
Policeman Matt Baker found blushing bride Nicky Clark and her new husband Andrew Allen stuck on the bypass near Sudbury in eastern England a week ago on Saturday.
He whisked them to their wedding reception with the flashing lights on and the sirens blaring.
"We don't normally offer a breakdown service," a Suffolk Police spokesman said.
