Paris fashion: Viktor and Rolf's upside down summer

PARIS (AFP) — Dutch design duo Viktor and Rolf turned fashion on its head, quite literally, with a spectacular show for their ready-to-wear 2006 collection where everything started off back-to-front, the wrong-way-round or upside down.

In just the kind of spectacular show the Paris fashion crowd has come to expect from the dynamic pair, not only the decor and catwalk but also the clothes for next spring-summer were all the wrong way round.

With Diana Ross's "Upside Down" belting out, the runway was on the ceiling and the label's name written backwards, as the pair explored a concept adopted in their recently-opened Milan boutique where even the chandelier is on the ground.

Clothes had slipped 180 degrees with models wearing the bodice part of bustier dresses...
