Strachan hails Nakamura

GLASGOW (AFP) — Celtic manager Gordon Strachan hailed Shunsuke Nakamura after his sensational free-kick in a 5-0 win against Motherwell and compared him with David Beckham.

The Japanese playmaker demonstrated his dead-ball skills in the Scottish Premier League match with a stunning left-foot strike from 30-yards which flew into the top corner of the net.

Nakamura's abilities from free-kick situations have already been compared with those of former Manchester United star David Beckham, now of Real Madrid.

But Strachan sees similarities with another ex-United player - Frenchman Eric Cantona.
