Jansen looking to land City deal

LONDON (AFP) — Out-of-contract striker Matt Jansen will train with Manchester City in the hope of landing a permanent deal after being released by Blackburn.
Bolton and Wigan are believed to be interested in landing Jansen but the 28-year-old will be looking to impress Blues boss Stuart Pearce at City's Carrington training ground on Thursday morning.
"We have to be interested in any good player that becomes available," said Pearce.
"Matt will be training with us today. We will have a look at him and see what the situation is. At this stage it is impossible to say what will happen," added Pearce, who also revealed he was involved in advanced talks with two more potential signings.
