France line up World Cup prep against Saudi Arabia

PARIS (AFP) — France have lined up a World Cup warm-up against fellow 2006 finalists Saudi Arabia in Lens on June 1 for players who didn't take part in the friendly already arranged against Denmark 24 hours earlier.

The fixture was announced on Lens' website on Monday but has yet to be confirmed by the French football federation.

The Saudi game will be France's fifth friendly leading up to the World Cup finals in Germany. The 1998 champions play Slovakia on March 1 and Mexico on May 27, both games at the Stade de France. Then Denmark at Lens on May 31 and China at Saint Etienne on June 7.

Coach Raymond Domenech has also scheduled in a training camp at Tignes between May 22-26.

Les Bleus' first round oponents in Germany are South Korea, Togo and Switzerland.
