Irish property boom puts beach hut on offer at 120,000 euros

DUBLIN (AFP) — Ireland's booming property market saw a beach hut little bigger than a garden shed near Dublin going on offer for 120,000 euros (145,000 dollars) according to the estate agents.
Named Neptune Cottage, the 200 square foot (18.58 square metres) wooden hut has a felt roof, no electricity and no sewage supply but Roisin O'Grady of auctioneers Hassett says she expects it to fetch at least the asking price.
"It is only 20 miles (32 kilometres) south of Dublin and it has a novelty value. We are not putting any pretensions on it. It is not a Mediterranean villa. It is just a shed on a lovely piece of ground," O'Grady said.
