Bosnian student modestly mimics Million Dollar Homepage idea

SARAJEVO (AFP) — A Bosnian student said he was hoping to earn enough to support his education by copying an Internet advertising feat made famous by a Briton.
"When I heard of what the British student did I thought of trying something similar," said the 24-year-old Vedran Simunovic from the southern Bosnian town of Mostar on Wednesday.
Since launching his reklamiraj.com website 10 days ago, Simunovic has earned about 1,000 Convertible Marks (510 euros) -- more than twice the average monthly wage in Bosnia -- by selling advertising space on the page.
