Limo no match for reigning world champ Choge

NAIROBI (AFP) — Kenya's reigning world junior cross champion Augustine Kiprono Choge has held off the experienced Benjamin Limo and Sammy Kipketer to snatch victory in the men's short race at the national cross country championships.
Choge, the only Kenyan gold medal winner at last year's world championships in Saint Galmier, France, stamped his authority on the race with his usual front-running, and after trading places with training partner Isaac Kiprono Songok, sprinted for the line to win by nearly three seconds.
Afterwards, the 20-year-old said he was ready to challenge for the short course title at the world championships in Fukuoka in April, having graduated to the senior ranks this year.
