DHAKA (AFP) — At least four people were killed and more than 100 injured as a tropical storm flattened hundreds of houses in six villages in the country's southern Sunderbans coastal region, police said.

The storm hit late Saturday night, killing at least four people at Sharankhola in the massive mangrove forest that runs along the Bay of Bengal coast from southern Bangladesh to India, area police chief Enamul Haq told AFP by telephone.
