Wenger wary of Real danger

LONDON (AFP) — Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insisted that he remains wary of the danger posed by Spanish giants Real Madrid despite the current upheaval at the club.

The Spanish, who have a temporary coach in charge and have also been hit by the resignation of president Florentino Perez, arrive in Highbury Wednesday night needing to overturn a 1-0 deficit to avoid Champions League elimination.

They have not won any trophies since 2003 and are currently well off the pace set by La Liga leaders Barcelona.

But Wenger insists Real remain a force to be reckoned with as an Arsenal victory could prove the end for a Real side built around stars such as Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos and England captain David Beckham.
