Avalanche defenseman Blake scores 200th career goal

DENVER, United States (AFP) — Rob Blake became the 17th defenseman in National Hockey League history to reach 200 career goals as he helped Colorado rally for a dramatic 4-3 victory over Chicago.

Blake and Dan Hinote scored in the final minute as the Avalanche rallied for the win.

A former Norris Trophy winner, Blake tallied on the power play with 57 seconds remaining to tie the game at 3-3. The 16-year veteran also scored in the first period.

With the crowd still buzzing, Hinote provided the capper 45 seconds later with just his fourth goal in 66 games this season.
