LOS ANGELES (AFP) — Actor Kiefer Sutherland has signed on to star in his hit television series "24" for another three years, officials said, confirming the deal that is reportedly worth 30 million dollars.
If the reports in Hollywood's trade press are correct, the contract would make Sutherland, 39, the highest-paid actor in a US series. But while confirming a deal had been signed, producers declined to give details.
Sutherland will also serve as an executive producer of the five-year-old series and will also develop new projects under the banner of his production company for streaming on the Internet, Twentieth Century Fox Television said.
