Chelsea fined for indiscipline at West Brom

LONDON (AFP) — Chelsea were fined 10,000 pounds (18,000 dollars) by the Football Association for failing to control their players during an ill-tempered match against West Bromwich last month.
The west London club were also warned about their future conduct due to the scenes at the Hawthorns on March 4, the FA said in a statement on its website.
The fine follows an incident just before half time when several Chelsea players surrounded referee Mark Halsey after a foul on by West Brom's Ronnie Wallwork on Claude Makelele.
Halsey reported the incident and said some players "pressurised" him. Chelsea requested a personal hearing.
The game, which Chelsea won, also saw Blues winger Arjen Robben sent off for a foul on Jonathan Greening and heated exchanges...
