Schumacher talks up title chances

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana (AFP) — Michael Schumacher is confident that he can still challenge for this year's Formula One World Drivers' Championship after taking victory in the Unites States Grand Prix.
The seven-times champion German, 37, led home a Ferrari one-two finish and narrowed the gap to points-leading Spaniard Fernando Alonso, of Renault, from 25 points to 19.
And with eight races left, he thinks the title is all to play for. "We can only hope to keep some of the edge we had this weekend and transform it into the European season," said Schumacher, who won the Indianapolis race for a record fifth time.
"There is still a long way to go, eight races and 80 points to go. I am 19 behind, and 80 is a lot and it is a lot but not impossible.
