Celtic chairman slams Petrov request

GLASGOW (AFP) — Celtic chairman Brian Quinn has insisted Stilian Petrov's desire to leave the Glasgow giants is "bizarre."
The Bulgaria midfielder signed a four-year contract in January but has since said he wants to quit Parkhead.
English Premiership duo Portsmouth and Fulham are both interested in Petrov but have so far failed to meet the Scottish champions' valuation of the player, reported to be around the five million pounds mark.
"I'm a bit old-fashioned. I think if you sign a contract you should stick to it," Quinn told the Sunday Times.
"We had a long negotiation, and it wasn't a snap judgement by either party. Petrov committed himself to four more years at Celtic. I find it bizarre he's now taken the position he must leave.
