Bazayev gives Astana some good news at last

BIELEFELD, Germany (AFP) — Kazakh rider Assan Bazayev has given the Astana team a much needed boost as he landed the first stage of the Tour of Germany ProTour cycling race, over 198.2km between Dusseldorf and here.
The 25-year-old beat home Italy's Danilo Napolitano and veteran German sprint specialist Erik Zabel to give the Kazakh sponsored outfit their first win on the circuit.
