IAAF angry over Jones test delays

BEIJING (AFP) — International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) general secretary Pierre Weiss expressed his frustration that Marion Jones apparently positive drug sample took almost two months to be analysed.
Media reports in the United States have reported that the blood-boosting drug erythropoietin (EPO) had been found in Jones' urine sample given after the first round of the womens 100 metres at the US Championships in June.
The controversial American sprinter, who won three gold medals at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, abruptly pulled out of a planned race at the Zurich Golden League meeting on Friday.
