Bayern threaten to report United to FIFA over Hargreaves

MUNICH, Germany (AFP) — Bayern Munich have threatened to complain to FIFA if Manchester United persist in their bid to lure star midfielder Owen Hargreaves to Old Trafford.
Hargreaves, one of the bright spots in England's low-key World Cup campaign, has stated publically he wants to join the Premiership giants and a move looked a possibility after United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said on Sunday he wanted to recruit him.
But Bayern, who lost midfield kingpin Michael Ballack to Chelsea this summer, are refusing to play ball, insisting Hargreaves, who signed a new four year contract with the Bundelsiga champions this year, is going nowhere.
