Cambodia's ailing former king leaves for China for medical treatment

PHNOM PENH (AFP) — Cambodia's former king Norodom Sihanouk, who is battling cancer, has headed to China for medical treatment. The cancer-stricken 83-year-old was accompanied by his wife, former queen Monineath, and their 53-year-old son, King Norodom Sihamoni, who was formally sworn in as monarch in October 2004.
