Red Sox's Lester diagnosed with lymphoma

BOSTON, United States (AFP) — Boston Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester has been diagnosed with lymphoma and will begin treatment within the next week, the team said. The Red Sox placed Lester on the 15-day disabled list with a sore back on Monday. But tests revealed enlarged lymph nodes, which turned out to be anaplastic large cell lymphoma.
