Langer puzzled by Woosnam Ryder Cup snub

MUNICH, Germany (AFP) — Europe's victorious 2004 Ryder Cup captain Bernhard Langer admits he is perplexed that his successor Ian Woosnam has not approached him for advice ahead of this year's competition on September 22-24. Welshman Woosnam captains the European team for the clash with the United States in Dublin but has not sought advice from German veteran Langer, even though the pair were recently at the BMW International Open in Munich.
"I can't understand why he has not asked me for advice or suggestions," Langer said in Munich. "Everyone is different and has their own tactics but the only thing I know about him (Woosnam) is that earlier in his career he had a wonderful swing."
