IAAF vows continued crackdown on doping

STUTTGART, Germany (AFP) — The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has vowed to continue its battle against doping cheats. IAAF president Lamine Diack said his body had organised a conference from September 30-October 2 with the participation of laboratories and the World Anti-Doping Agency among others to evaluate the "state of testing".
"We obviously have to boost testing, but we can't do anything without the governments, who alone have the power to arrest someone or search a car," said Diack. "We are ready to continue with our partners who are on the same wavelength," added the former Senegalese long jumper.
