Quake rattles Gulf of Mexico region

WASHINGTON (AFP) — A strong earthquake rattled the Gulf of Mexico region, the US Geological Survey reported. No casualties were immmediately reported Sunday. The epicenter of the 5.8 magnitude quake was located in the ocean some 400 kilometers (251 miles) southwest of Tampa, Florida, and some 530 kilometers (330 miles) southeast of New Orleans, Louisiana.
