PHILADELPHIA, United States (AFP) — Officials in Philadelphia have moved to shut down a newsstand whose operator insists on selling pornographic magazines and who has threatened anyone who objects with rape. According to local news reports, Muhammad Shaukat was told by city officials this summer to stop selling pornography at his stand, which is located near the city's Liberty Bell, a busy tourist area.
Officials acted after receiving complaints about the too-public display of pornography. The Indian-born immigrant reacted by posting a sign threatening anyone who interfered with his business with rape.
