South Africa's Gold Fields lists on Dubai exchange

DUBAI (AFP) — South African miner Gold Fields announced it was listing on the Dubai International Financial Exchange (DIFX), becoming the first African company to list shares on the fledgling Gulf market. "The DIFX is the gateway to a significant pool of liquidity in the Gulf, Middle East and Central Asian region," Gold Fields chief executive officer Ian Cockerill told reporters.
By listing on the DIFX, Gold Fields is "leading South African companies into a new terrain that we believe will yield many positive returns in the future," he said.
