Springbok rugby trio to make debuts against Ireland

DUBLIN (AFP) — South Africa coach Jake White has handed debuts to three players when he announced his starting side to play Ireland in the Springboks' European tour opener at Lansdowne Road here Saturday. All the new boys line-up in the back three with full-back Bevin Fortuin, right wing Jaco Pretorious and left wing Francois Steyn all taking the field, with Bryan Habana moved into the centres alongside Jean de Villiers.
South Africa team manager Zola Yeye said the new trio's selection was part of the team's planning for next year's World Cup in France.
