Surgery coming for NFL star McNabb for torn knee ligament

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (AFP) — Five-time Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb of the Philadelphia Eagles suffered a torn ACL in the second quarter of Sunday's 31-13 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Rolling to his right, McNabb was pushed out of bounds by defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch and landed awkwardly on his right knee.

McNabb got to his feet but was unable to put any weight on the leg before he was taken off the field on a cart. "He was going to the sideline and I saw him rearing up to throw it, so you know I don't take that shot if he's running out of bounds," Vanden Bosch said.
