NEW YORK (AFP) — Jose Uribe, who played 10 seasons in Major League Baseball, died in a road accident in his native Dominican Republic, MLB.com reported. According to the baseball website, 47-year-old Uribe was driving on the Nizao-San Cristobal Highway when he crashed around 3:00 a.m. The cause of the accident still is under police investigation.
